Good morning!  I have coffee.  Actually, espresso.  I'm still catching up on the intranets, though.  They do seem to gallop ahead at a brisk pace when I'm not watching them.

Eventually, I have fics to beta and fic to write.  Action scene!  I need to find my Scrabble tiles.

We have reached the hour of symmetry. All things are 23. There are 23 Time Chickens watching you from the corner. You can't see them because they're invisible, but they are after the 23 ninja penguins on the front lawn. Fortunately, they and the penguins are distracted by the 23 alien fish in the bathtub. (You didn't know you have 23 alien fish in your bathtub?)

Your goal for this hour is to write at least 23 words. Ready, set, go!

The halfway point for the round is NOW, right at the beginning of Hour 25! That's right, we are halfway done! You could tell us about all your great accomplishments in the first half, but that's the past! We want to know the future. So, tell us about all your great accomplishments in the second half of the 'rush. Yes, the second half hasn't happened yet, but that just means we won't be hampered by pesky details like facts or the truth. Personally, I'm going to write 1,000 words between now and Hour 34, and then I plan to get nominated for the Pulitzer Prize around Hour 46. How about you?

There was a little bit of trouble with my friends car not starting, and my not being able to let anyone know I was away.
