I think I should start writing at some point and stop being distracted. XD

That is a good idea. XD Thanks. :D

We have the same approach.

I woke up an hour and a half ago and managed to write absolutely nothing. :D Perhaps this hour will be more successful in that realm. So many distractions. O.O

This is so odd. You and I are on the same time zone.

I actually did write 2000 words this morning! I woke up, played the scene I thought about last night in my head, went "oh!" and went to write it. But now I must travel back to my conference.... :(

Farewell, fic_rush.

2000 words! I bow to your supreme magnificence!! (I have been using the word 'awesome' far too much this weekend and Must Stop Now).

Seriously, wow.

Pausing at 777 words for the day to go rescue my laundry.

I hope to return shortly.

*Grin* Thanks. The clothes were all rescued from where they were perilously waiting in the dryer, where any number of my siblings could have come along and removed them. Laundry is a dangerous task around here.

Even worse, your laundry might have been attacked by Time Chickens. You'd have returned to find half of it transformed into 1750's era unmentionables, and the rest somehow swapped with 1970's polyester. It can get very bad indeed.

Oh dear. The terror of my siblings doesn't even compare to the destruction Time Chickens could unleash upon my clothes.

Good thing I got there in time! Or did I...

Three hand written pages, no idea about the word count but the story is finally moving - thought it looks like the direction is 'sappy'.
Hm.
Oh well. Such is life, and writing!

Still haven't written, or even had food yet! I've been up for four hours! What have I been doing???

Oh, yeah, I've been chatting merrily with the other folks in my online bookclub. And we're still at it. They're mostly in Europe, so maybe they'll go to bed soon? :-D

Bedtime = now for me (I'm in the UK).

Patrick O'Brian's Master and Commander Aubrey-Maturin series of novels. We're on Book 18 of 21, so we've been at this for awhile!

Yes, I plan to do some writing in that fandom this weekend, so it's totally research! :-D

I'm about to go to bed - with a grin on my face because my meta essay on Law & Order: UK's Alesha Phillips got a comment from the show's head writer!! (She thought it was good and was pleased I'd written it.) That's a Tweet to preserve for posterity!

Uh? What?

I wrote a review of a story for [livejournal.com profile] sentinelbigbang. It was long, but I didn't do a word count.

Now to go and water the plants.

I liked your computer program! It worked for me. I totally edited some bad sentences, and ended at some paragraphs!

My approach to computer stuff is to push buttons until things work. Or not. Programming your story to behave itself seems so much cooler than the way I just jab at mine.

I got it! And I showed it to my sister who's majoring in computer science and she thought it was hilarious. :-)

I need to stop saying 'awesome' (srsly, where did all that come from?), but I am in awe.

Forget the global domination giraffes; fic-programming frogs are the way to go. (Or are they some other kind of critter?)
