The last hour brought mind-blowing explanations of what writing actually is, and also we sang of arms and the... well, more arms really. I admit it, it's late here, and I'm getting punchy. Good thing I have all these arms. What will hour 29 bring us?

Good morning once again, Fic Rush!

I've been up since the sunrise, since the spirit of Editing disturbed my sleep. Now I'm hopped up in one too many cups of coffee and listening Janis Joplin. Very adventurous Sunday morning, I would say!

Looks like I'm the only one enjoying the 30+ hours, but that just means that all the Fic Rush coffee is mine! Bwuahahha! /cough (that was my evil laughter, but I think I have to practice some more...)

I'm on my second page of editing, third cup of coffee and I've moved on to Janis Live at the Woodstock -recordings. It's a very effective combo, it turns out! Maybe at this speed, I'll get this chapter of my WIP done today... Fingers crossed!

Unless someone else comes along with a better destination for the 33th hour, Fic Rush continues in August 16th, 1969. Warm up your time machines!

Good morning! Good afternoon! Good every time of the day, even those awkward in-between times! I failed to make a writing-themed icon and I didn't bring cookies because I got up too late, setting out on the wrong foot on a carpet made of excuses. Sometimes life is like that. Sometimes writing especially is like that.

But not Hour 40! Hour 40 is the Hour of Accomplishment!

I can't scatter baked goods among you this hour, because the virtual oven is still heating up (it takes longer when you don't belive in your powers of imagination) but I can promise a rhyming couplet in honor of anyone who writes this hour! Or edits, because that's important too. Or makes a sketch or an outline or just thinks about some characters in a more-or-less concentrated way; I'm not picky! Tell me your deeds!

Woodstock was turning out a bit muddy, so I whisked the Fic Rush few years back to 1966, at the Sands Casino and Hotel for the live show of Frank Sinatra. Could you ask for a better moodsetter for all your 60's-spy-noir-detective stories? Here in Fic Rush we focus on the writing mood, after all!

(This is a funny live recording, there's all these Sinatra's half-time monologues :D So many bad jokes, plus all the audience participation!).

It must be a cocktail hour somewhere by now, don't you think? Or is it brunch if you combine breakfast with champange? Either way, grab a bevarage and come by the comments to tell what you are planning for the next hour!

Hour 41 is the Hour of Virtual Baked Goods!

The virtual oven is up and running, so I have baked goods for all! Bagels, macarons, scones, cake, even some of those raw vegan seed bars that were trendy a couple of years ago. For some reason I'm having difficulty thinking of other kinds of baked goods, but rest assured they are all here for the asking. The virtual oven is pretty quick once it gets up to temperature, though we've been having some minor problems with accuracy. Ask and you shall receive!

Hour 41 is also the hour in which your mod does some actual writing! Maybe! We'll see! What kind of hour is it for you? Share your struggles and your triumphs here.

Hour 42 is upon us, fic_rushers! The best hour yet? Anything is possible; there's a whole hour ahead of us!

It's my last hour to mod, but not my last chance to write -- or yours. Tell me what you're working on, or what you should be working on, or what you're not convinced you should be working on but are eyes-deep in anyway -- or save your energy for the thing you're making. It's all good as far as Hour 42 is concerned!

For my part, I got 300 words written in Hour 41. Most of them were typos.

Hi, how is it going? I gathered that there has been a slight technical hiccup with proceedings, but here's an hour! It's a special hour as it can be used for retrospective writings in Hours 34 & 35, too. (Possibly. As long as I tweak this dial in the right direction and don't accidently lose Hour 43 along the way or something...)

Well last hour certainly was productive! We had people starting new stories and finishing old ones, editing, planning curry, getting coffee, more editing, doing research, cutting fabric, and more editing.

Myself I managed just under 300 words on an old WIP that I’m trying to finish up.
