Round 67, Hour 44

Well last hour certainly was productive! We had people starting new stories and finishing old ones, editing, planning curry, getting coffee, more editing, doing research, cutting fabric, and more editing.

Myself I managed just under 300 words on an old WIP that I’m trying to finish up.

I'm listening to the soundtrack from the film Zodiac as I write - what tunes are you spinning?

I managed 235 words and currently have Wings by Birdy on repeat. I've already had to ask my cheerleader extraordinaire to not let me title it after another lyric in that song. I've already got three fics with titles from that song.

So naturally the working title is "Damn These Walls" from Wings by Birdy...

I swear I spend longer trying to find the right title than I do writing the fic sometimes. There are a few songs that I criminally overuse though. If I make this one four, it will officially be the most I've milked a song.

I'm listening to a few crickets (or something) that haven't noticed it's fall already, and cold. At the same time, I'm trying to finally get some words down. Other than in emails and comments, that is :o)

Sorry, can I just take a moment to appreciate that -- normally it's everything else goes awkwardly quiet and then you notice the crickets, not the crickets going awkwardly quiet upon you noticing them xD

I can't help but imagine them all falling silent, stopping what they're doing and looking around at you like on TV when someone new enters a small village pub...

I guess I'm an acception, a lot of people like to listen to music while writing, but I need to turn off music, TV, etc.

More words are written, about 766 today, there is still hope that I will be able to finish the chapter during this round. Please keep your fingers crossed.

Wow, that's fantastic progress! I can't write with the TV on either, and my music has to be instrumental-only - no lyrics. That's why I love film soundtracks!

The place where I was going to get a nice cup of coffee was too crowded to be worth it, so I got a considerably less nice cup of coffee at the gas station next door. It burned my tongue and I'm not sure it's going to be drinkable :/

However, I have a back up! I bought a mocha frappuchino bottle, a treat I haven't had since college! Maybe it will be good and maybe not, but I'm saving it as a reward for when I do more editing.
