It's weird going back to the beginning of a fandom for the first time and realizing how much everything has changed (and how problematic the early installments are). Anyway, I'm taking a break from research to make this new borscht recipe I found *fingers crossed* What new and exciting (or old and exciting) things will you accomplish this round?

Dishes are more or less done (!), so now I can start on the actual cooking portion. This is why I don't cook often; it's a whole day affair.

My goal now is to write 500 words of dissertation during my shift - or even better, 819 words, so I'm up to 1000 for the day.

This is World Book Day, I believe, except in the UK, where we have a different one! So it's a very suitable day for writing lots of words on...

Fact of the Day: Shakespeare and Cervantes both died on 23rd April 1616, but didn't die on the same day as each other. Which sounds like one of those logic puzzles where someone turns out to be their own sister, and shows that when it comes to being confused by time, nothing has changed in 400 years!

That last hour just flew past! I guess I was distracted by the ridiculoulsy cute antics of my furbabies, Mojo and Mac. One of them is trying to devour the toes on my left foot.

Words and dinner and things are happening. I'm trying to decide whether to make orange or chocolate chip scones. Decisions... decisions...
