Have you done any writing this hour? Are you eating writerly quiche? Are you battling recalcitrant spellcheck programs? *adds "spellcheck" to Firefox dictionary*

Your challenge for this next hour, should you choose to accept it, is to use the Libertador O'Higgins region of Chile in your fic! (It keeps popping up on my earthquake-tracker widget - yes, I have an earthquake-tracker desktop widget, what sort of a proto-geologist would I be without one? *g* - so I thought I would share the information that it exists. :D)

Round 35, Hour -30

We have achieved crackfic already! :D lost_spook, our fabulous Emergency Stunt Mod who will also be proper!modding a bit later in the EPIC ROUND, has written about the Third Doctor and Jo Grant going to Brighton by mistake, and the Blakes 7 crew talking about the Libertador O'Higgins region while being on their usual rickety-spaceship filming set. ;-)

(Note for any new people who may see this, although I haven't seen any yet: we don't generally post snippets of the stories we're actually working on because it would be in many different fandoms and kind of overwhelm the comm - but self-contained 'Rush crackfics are always welcome. We usually don't start getting them till later in the round, though! O_O)

CLEARLY I am doing something right with the prompts. For a given value of prompts. And right. :D

Your challenge for this next hour, therefore, should you choose to accept it, is to introduce a character played by Dame Judi Dench into your fic! ANY character: James Bond, Granny Weatherwax, Edward Cullen... wait, what? (Warning: spoilers for "Skyfall" at that link, if you care.)

The negative hours of the round continue apace! TOWARDS ZERO, as Agatha Christie said on another occasion.

Your mission for this hour, should you choose to accept it, is to include the Bloop in your fic! Or your crackfic. Or tell your family at Thanksgiving dinner (if you are having one) that it's finally been solved, after which you may well have to explain what it was - which is a nicely timey-wimey, 'Rusheriffic thing to do. :D

If you're Canadian, you could go back in time and talk about the Bloop at your Thanksgiving dinner! That would be even more timey-wimey! :D

I have dishes to do. Perhaps I will attempt to recreate the Bloop in my kitchen sink.

ETA: sidlj, are you good to post the next hour or two? If so, I think I'm going to go take a nap. o_O Modding is tiring work! ;-)

I return! To take sidlj's place. In the hour fic_rush needs me most. Or something. :D

My internal clock is just about a quarter-day off from my childhood "normal" day (6am to 9pm) right now, so I expect to keep posting hourly posts till around 3am EST, which if I have done my math right should be Hour -16, 8am GMT. After that we'll have an overnight post, and the 'Rush will resume - unless Sid does an early-morning post, or unless someone else turns up to fill in - at 8am EST, 1pm GMT, Hour -11, with n_e_star beginning the first Proper Assigned Shift of the EPIC ROUND.

Your challenge for this hour, should you choose to accept it, is to incorporate BARON BRAIN into your fic. (Like BRIAN BLESSED, I feel he requires capslock. XD)
