This stupid fic is properly happening! At long last!

At first I was all, "I'll write this one idea I have for a shortfic" and then wrote about three sentences and changed my position to "what a load of plotless, introspective crap" and deleted it and moped a bit.

But then, I came up with an awesome dramatic scene which also fills in the biggest thing about my WIP that I didn't know what to do with and then more cool ideas for it kept coming to me too. And if I ignore all your comments this hour, it's 'cause I'm busy writing that (or possibly because there's pizza and I haven't had lunch).

(So far, the fic has fewer run-on sentences than this comment.)

I've only managed 100 words this hour. I think it's a sign that sleep is calling, well that and the fact I can barely keep my eyes open.

I'm very, very happy though as todays word count is ~3200 and I'm energised about my big bang again.

I am writing, which is an improvement over last hour, when I was not. Why do I always seem to finally hit a writing stride right at the end of fic_rush?

Because when you're supposed to write, you don't want to, but when you're almost out of time (even if fic_rush ending doesn't actually mean you have to stop), it suddenly becomes much more appealing?

Yahoo, I'm writing! I'm filling in a variety of little transitional pieces in a WIP, taking useless placeholding notes like "(someone else sees this here. Change viewpoint?? Add reason for them to go that direction)" and making it into an actual part of the story instead.
