It turns out my battle scene isn't going as badly as I thought it was. Also, I've no idea about the last hours word count but I've just reached 2000 for today. *bounces* Only another 14000 to go...

I am awake. I will continue to be AFK for rather too much of the remaining hours, though. But I did get some writing done last night after I got home.

Total word count for the weekend is only about 700 words so far, but they're the right words and they're doing what I need them to do. I still think I can finish this chapter today!

Very optimistic. Once I'm back, I've been able to set up an interview via chat with one of my Research Assistants, which should allow me to fill in most of the remaining Small Factual Holes in the chapter (another important step in finishing it).

AFK = brunch with a friend in this case, which means Food, which means energy to write! Yay!

Am back. I want to make a start on the next story along from the one I finished. Maybe a ficlet, but probably not. I always have this idea I can write far more than is possible in one evening.

It's always better to have extra stuff you want to write than to to be sitting there thinking "okay, but idk what to write now." At least, that's my experience.

I have typed up my thing I wrote last night. It is 289 words (yay me for accurate estimate!) and is actually quite good so far as I can tell. If it stays good, that is one more question all the way finished! So: 4 questions finished, 2 in rambly needs-rewritten format, and 1 that still needs to be rambled and then rewritten.

That is much farther than I thought I was. Go me! *handstand*

*falls down thump*

Now I am going to take that nap.
