Nah I always saw myself as more of a Hufflepuff person, so 10 points for Hufflepuff :)

Hufflepuff was clearly the best house. They may not have had the biggest names, but I'm betting they had all the fun.

Griffindor has all the fun. They're the main character house. Supposedly it's the bravery house, but actually, they allow any personality as long as you're a main character. Because that's what you call people that get to have fun.

Nah, I think Hufflepuff had some awesome parties. It's easier to relax when you're not the main character. Also the faculty doesn't pay as much attention to you so you can get away with more.

Yeah, that's true.

I kind of want there to be a series of seven books happening at the same time, in which Gryffindor and Slytherin are these unimportant background houses, but Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw have a huge rivalry and members of one or the other have to save the world on a yearly basis. The quirky, caricature professors would be rounded characters who prefer Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, but Snape would just be a jerk with no explanation given and McHowever you spell it would be an over-the-top version of everybody's grandmother. Harry would occasionally be mentioned in a rumor or something.

I'm sure it's been done many times, badly, but I'm scared of that fandom so I don't know.

It's entirely possible that I would actually read that series of books. I never got beyond Goblet of Fire for the actual books.

I love the idea of the background houses secretly being awesome.


It's probably been done, but the only HP fic I read is the really terrible crossovers with things like Full Metal Alchemist.

I can kind of understand that. Goblet of Fire is my least favorite one. Are you a movie fan instead of a book fan, or did you just drop Harry Potter at that point?

I wonder if there's a version of say, dw_ficsearch but for Harry Potter.

I got about two, maybe three, chapters into the fifth book and gave up. Saw the third movie and bits of the rest. Oh, and I read the last few chapters of Deathly Hollows because it seemed like something I should do.

I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a Harry Potter fic search comm. Or several of them.

That's my theory. Also it's probably pretty easy to blame things on other houses.
