Well...research is going well. Getting ready to pour that first glass and settle in for a little more research before calling it a day. You know - maybe an hour (or two, or three...what? I love research!)

I've written about four hundred words since finally making myself open the document about an hour ago.

Wordage is all right, but I'm veering sharply off course. I'm making my first attempt at writing tentacle sex for an unlikely pairing. This is for reasons too long to go into here but that involve a challenge *waggles eyebrows*

I'm about 1500 words in and not a tentacle in sight. I'm never going to be any good at that PWP thingamabob as I always feel like I have to set things up and try to make them believable... yeah. Tentacle Sex. In this fandom. *headdesk*

It can be awhile before the tentacles appear. S'why I usually write in the middle for sex of any kind (particularly with tentacles) and work my way outward. Meet that challenge!! And make it freaky!

(No, seriously...some of us like the kinky. BRING ON TEH KINKEH!)

LOL! Which is totally the opposite of PWP. But if it helps, I'm totally with you. I have to make it believable and get ya geared up for what's coming - and there must be plot and storyline and IC characters and...

I'm working on the first item on my To-Do list: signing up for myoldfandom. I've printed out an edited version of the tag set with the fandoms I might write/request. Now I'm working my way through the list of requests and pruning/tweaking my potential offers as necessary. Hopefully I'll get it narrowed down to what I'm actually going to offer and request tonight before I go to bed, so I can sign up and write my Dear Author letter tomorrow.

You're welcome! Most of my fandoms are old, too, so I often find it hard to match on something I can write for fests (as far as requests are concerned, I'm happy to have them go out as a pinch hit, because I've got a couple of amazing stories that way). But this fest is right up my street :D
