Round 72, Hour 13

Good day, my lovely rushers!

I just crawled out of bed a mere hour ago, night owl that I am, and bring you gallons of coffee. I have no clue what I missed, so why don't you fill me in on your projects and your progress (or lack thereof)?

I, for one, will start this day with signing up to a few NSFW-challenges (what better way to start the weekend?) before probably finally writing what's on my list. Which is 100% work-safe. Oh my.

I tried to catch a little sleep so I could be awake all day but apparently, that is a thing that is not happening.

I am going to try and add to the Steve/Bucky fandom AU that I'm working. Or possibly original fic, at least to wake up my brain a little. I don't even know. I still need to get coffee before I try anything.

I also have newspaper and boxes and dropsheets, because in about 20 minutes our house will be invaded by workmen who are going to install windows. The ones you see through, not the one you swear at on the computer.

Workmen invading the house on a Saturday is meep, but I guess the windows will enjoy the attention. However, yay to being awake and having coffee! So far, you seem to be in a good place :o)

And it's an 8 am invasion. They are replacing every single window in the house. It's going to be a long day. They'll finish tomorrow, and the whole monumental project will be done in one blast.

On the bright side, these are ZOMG high-tech windows, capable of withstanding hurricanes. (I am not exaggerating here.) They're costing a bloody fortune, but with any luck our insurance bills will drop substantially, as well as the electric bill, and they'll pay themselves back in the end.

We're in south Florida, so the outside temperature is somewhere in the mid-70s. I'm insanely grateful that the weather cooled down and is overcast today, or we'd be doing this with higher temperatures and ghastly humidity.

Finally back. I had to do some editing of a first, rough draft of a small ficlet, managed to add 528 words so that it finally ended with 1067 words.

I guess that's a good start into this round.

Now, lunch, coffee, kitty-cuddling. And hopefully, more writing soon.
