Round 72, Hour 1

And so it begins! Welcome, one and all, to Round 72 of fic_rush! This is the very first hour. Look at all that emptiness stretching out before us! But, it needs something. Fresh new words on an old WIP? Fresher, newer words on a new fanfic? A penguin? A glowstick? Laundry? Tea? All of the above?

Perhaps, just perhaps, if we all work together, we as a community can come together and create something wonderful over the next 48 hours. A creative endeavor, a safe space, a group undertaking of making fic.

Perhaps, just perhaps, this will be the 72nd time that such a thing has come to pass.

So, don't just sit there! Whether this is your first time, your 50th time, or your 72nd time, come on in, and join us. What are your plans for our time together?

Hello! I wrote a 623 word mini-fic, And peeled and chopped some carrots for soup. And read Chapter 8 of The Shepherd's Crown by Terry Pratchett.

Now I'm waving my glowstick and waiting for Husband to get home from work. We will make popcorn and watch Agent Carter. Or Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Or both.

Tomorrow, I work.

But Sunday I will be here. Writing, modding, and cooking...

Still here though it's already after midnight for me. A long weekend is lying ahead of me, four days off :). So there is hope that I will get a lot of stuff done. No all focused on writing, but I hope the muse is willing to play along.

I have to finish my Snarry hp_goldenage fic that's only a week overdue (and thanks are owed to mods for extensions)... it's mostly done (thank goodness!) but needs some tweaking

And a picfor1000 that may or may not get done at all and my sgareversebang that has wordage but no where near enough.

And I'm on mod duties at inkingitout on DW this weekend...

Inking it out is a cheering community for writers... mod duties are actually similar to this comm... it goes every weekend instead of once a month and the mod-of-the-week does exactly what you're doing here... make a "how are things going" post and interact with folk who reply...

It's fun to meet up with folk who are in lots of other fandoms and get advice and share hugs...

Hopefully, I'll be back with news that *something* gets done this weekend! Thanks!

Dinner was good. Distractions are worse. But tired trumps all.

The docs folder looks good. Closed. Because my gods, the words do jumble, lol!!

The bells are tinkley. Silvery. Hopefully they will keep me awake. I put them on the cat just to make sure. :D
