Round 70, Hour 21

Good evening everyone.

I appear to have about 500 words of Yuletide fic, but not in any particular order, at least at the paragraph level - it's like one of those school exercises where you have to rearrange the sentences to make the story make sense.

But at least I'm starting to believe that I might have 1000 words and at least a beginning and a middle by the morning - my stories, like my essays, never do have an end, they just stop!

Anyone else in a last minute rush? Any sensible people who got everything written weeks ago? Let us know how you're getting on!

I knew I couldn't commit to Yuletide this year so, very rationally, didn't sign up.

...Only I seem to have forgotten to inform me(!) because I'm neck deep in Yuletide treat writing although I'm not hopeful any of them will actually get finished in time... or at all. :P

That is what I should have done, but I've been such a single-fandom girl until now that I got overexcited about finally being able to do it!

I only got one person's final graded last hour but I did accomplish brunch and the penguin assistant training seminar is going swimmingly!

Hooray! I'm only the admin person who counts the scripts and hands them to the markers, but I have two markers busy this weekend - they want it off their minds before Christmas, though, which I think is very wise!

You write out of order too? I usually come up with the end first, and then have to try and think of a plot to get me there!

This is definitely reflections on a theme rather than a plot from A to B, so more out of order than usual - but yes, even with something more linear - I just keep filling gaps until they're all filled :)
