Deiced once and for all on the plot bunny I'm going to use for Yuletide ::shooing the rest of them into the hutch you kindly provided and locking the door::
http://www.thebigknit.co.uk (http://www.thebigknit.co.uk) - they go on smoothie bottles, and for every one that's bought the company puts money to charity.
I foolishly knitted 50 without stoppping to sew any of them up along the way, and the day of reckoning has come - I'm now knitting blanket squares which the charity sew up for you!
Congratulations on your mad amounts of tiny hat knitting. I did not get any writing done in the last few hours. I had an ikea hack to accomplish - covering panels that go in a glass cabinet door with fabric, using duct tape to hold it all together. I had some very snazzy duct tape indeed, courtesy of lolmac. Leopard print, baby.
It's all in service of making my creative space more workable - a cascade of moving things and improving other things. So, it's good to get done!
The actual knitting took about 3 weeks of bus journeys and lunchtimes and reading time - the sewing up has taken about the same length of time but almost all procrastination! So it's good to be getting somewhere.
That all sounds very clever - and I am impressed by the duct tape :-) (The friend I was being crafty with is planning to sew a snow leopard, but I haven't yet worked out why or on what scale...)
My achievement is bringing my laptop to bed so I can write in comfort. I'm working on my entry for the next spn_j2_bigbang. It's a fic I've been writing for a few years now and I am determined to get it finished in time for May's submission deadline. Already at 75K, with it all outlined and plotted but with lots left to write and all of it to edit and polish.
Thanks. I wrote lots (over 2000 words) but not 1 of them was for my BB. Instead I continued a comment fic that was only 9 words long and will hopefully be used for another fic challenge.
But I do plan on getting back to the BB once I get this other fic out of my head.
