Woo, I sewed adorable lined patch pockets with topstitching for my halloween dress. I did not actually sew them ON to the dress, but hey. Now some minor tweaking on the story I was working on ... maybe I can persuade my household toward watching the Leverage episode I need for research with dinner. ;)

Ooo, lined pockets with topstitching! Once they're assembled, actually putting them onto the dress is a snap. Go you!

I just this very day used Wonder Tape for the first time (to stick the decorative grosgrain ribbon to the pockets before stitching it on) and think that will make sewing the pockets onto the dress even more of a snap.

And then it's just hemming the top skirt and sewing a mile of ruffle to the underskirt. So BASICALLY, when I said I was going to run up a very quick and simple dress for Halloween I was a lying liar who lied. (To myself.)

Nooooooooooo! It can't be the last hour!!! I've been having so much fun! Don't leave meeee ::sob::

I've been more productive these last two days that I've ever been, writing a fic two days running... well, I probably won't get today's fic completely finished today - I'm at nearly 1000 words and only about halfway through :( But still, 2210 words in 2 days is amazing by my standards, and there'll be more after I've given the cats their dinner (the wailing has started!).

Oh, could I ask a favour of you guys? I've just signed up for wishlist_fic (as well as Yuletide and maybe holly_poly... I must be mad - this place is having a bad effect on me!), so if anyone could drop by my lj sometime after I put up my introductory post Nov 1st and leave a fic prompt for me I'd be very grateful... I hardly ever post in my lj, so I don't know whether anyone follows it these days, and I'd hate to get no prompts :( I'm trying to expand my fandom horizons fic writing-wise, so anything in my interest list should be fair game (yep, quite mad).

Ending the rush on a total of 4487 words written in 48 hours, which is pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Even if only 703 of them are likely to end up posted so far. It's far from a record, but considering my dry spell, I'm really impressed with myself.

And here I thought writing a PWP would be easy XD
