Hah! I have finished parts 1 through 3 of my character study - first draft only - and the fourth part will require rewatching an episode of Leverage. Oh dear, what a tragedy. So I'm going to start dinner then maybe stop procrastinating on my sewing project.

Oh no, a need for Research! That is tragic indeed. I am glad you have imminent sewing to distract you from the horrible task of watching an episode of Leverage. Perhaps you will even have to watch it twice! Along with other episodes. For context, of course. ;)

I'm going to be spending them writewritewriting! This is going to be another long one - I'm up to 470 words and the main character hasn't even started cooking yet (the focus of the story is the disaster that is his cooking).

Have written over 2000 words. Just realised they're not working for me this time either. Time to start rewriting this story again.

Seriously, I usually don't second-guess my writing this much, but lately some of the stories I'm working on has been rewritten so many times before I manage to get things somewhat decent.

At least I have in fact written 2125 words today, which is words I hadn't written yesterday. That's something! :D

You have brought words, sentences, paragraphs, and ideas into existence that did not previously exist. That is indeed something, and the something that it is is pretty amazing. Good for you!

I know the rewriting is frustrating, but it is absolutely a necessary part of the creative process. You will get there!

I have successfully taken a nap that staved off an incipient migraine, so truly yay! Now I shall see about being creative with sewing. Also, we have three episodes of the Great British Baking Show to catch up on! \o/
