Round 68, Hour 17
Oct. 24th, 2015 10:58 amIn Hour 16, I dug out some prompts from a week ago and tried to continue them, with minimal success. In Hour 17, I'll be working on my Yuletide letter(?) because I still don't know exactly what I'm requesting. I was going to post some "meditations" from a book of "meditations for writers," but they seem extra unhelpful today. Maybe having a cold makes me cynical.
What are you doing this hour? What rivers have you already crossed?

Date: 2015-10-24 04:25 pm (UTC)Alas, my own pot of tea is still hours away. But Yuletide planning can happen anywhere, at any time!

Date: 2015-10-24 04:41 pm (UTC)No writing happening as yet, but it's not meant to be; I was just around, playing with a random generator.

Date: 2015-10-24 05:47 pm (UTC)Certainly, if you're not careful, the journey of 1000 words or so can definitely start that way! (Not when I'm tired, though. At that point, I'm relatively safe.)

So I guess that's what I'll be working on today! I shall aim for a drabble and see how far I overshoot this time :/
Please let us know when your DYW letter is up - I may or may not be stalking the sign-up summary and DYW post to find more things I can offer/write treats for
in betweeninstead of doing all the things I should be doing.no subject
Date: 2015-10-24 04:53 pm (UTC)I find that trying to write a very little is one of the easiest ways to end up writing a lot. You can always pare it down later!
As for my DYW letter, it'll be last-minute, as usual, but I will be sure to post the link in the usual DYW post as soon as it's semi-presentable.

Date: 2015-10-24 04:55 pm (UTC)It's possible that your Yuletide letter is just fine the way it is -- but if you have doubts, you could ask someone to glance over it for you? Either way, it's probably fine! You can always edit it a little later if you need to.

Date: 2015-10-24 04:59 pm (UTC)I think I'm just being antsy and worrying over nothing, really. I'll take another look over it when assignments go out (which I cannot wait for!!)
