It's on a knitters' networking site called Ravelry - I've probably mentioned it before. The board's called Who Knits but doesn't seem to be related to LJ's who_knits; the mod is iko, who is really really good at keeping everything organized and all the discussions interesting, and supplying all the latest news as it comes up.
Ah. It sounds great except for the knitting. And distinct possibility of running into my mom without knowing it, since she introduced me to Doctor Who and talks about Ravelry sometimes. Though that does sound like a good conversation you've got going.
So has anyone other than me ever knitted either a three-legged scarf or a Moebius scarf? Those were my very first Who projects, back in, OMG, 1983. I still have the three-legged scarf.
...Three-legged scarf? I've never heard of such a thing, and can't quite imagine it.
Moebius scarf, OTOH - a quick search of project pages came up with over 2,000. (There are also Klein-bottle hats and more than one knitted Stargate. Ravelry is full of very silly geeks. I remember this one conversation entirely about crocheting a hyperbolic chicken... it was amazing.)
This is a side-community for fic_rush, where we post our hourly posts during rounds. If you've wandered in here by accident, you'll want to go there instead.
If you're with fic_rush and have just shown up, look for most recent hourly post.
