I'm awake, so I am jumping in on the usurpation! My plans for the hour involve getting out of bed and getting breakfast. Tea will also feature in there somewhere.

Anyone have more exciting plans than that?

My plans also involve tea. :D My other plans include uploading project and stash photos to ravelry, checking the washing and hopefully starting on with the uni work. We'll see exactly how much gets done.

I do resist Starbucks but otherwise great coffee is so much more easily obtainable in the US than great tea* is, at least unless I make it myself at home.

*And by great I mean hot black Indian tea brewed strong enough to kill a horse with a splash of milk (usually referred to as Navvy or Builder's Tea in the UK). NO chai, no herbal mash, nothing iced. *shudders*

No, you are right, it's hard to find really great tea here. I have a prized stash of tea that I bought in the UK. And I hate staying in American hotels with no way to brew tea in the room except for in the coffee pot, which means the tea comes out tasting like coffee, yeargggh.

Fortunately, I do also enjoy American tea, but most of what I drink is at home, so I brew it myself just the way I like it.

Luckily, one of the local supermarkets has started stocking Yorkshire Gold so that's my stand-by when supplies from home run out. *g*

Talking about US hotels has made me think of Bill Bailey talking about the importance to the English of tea making facilities in hotel rooms so thanks for that. :D It's also TRUE.
