Round 61: Hour 44

So. I am not writing. Instead, I am reading a 'Thick of It' fanfic that is set in a post-apocalyptic world and I am enjoying every. darned. second. What can I say? Tortured!Tucker is a guilty pleasure.

I honestly have no idea where or when I came across this fiction. No bleeding clue. But somehow, it is utterly marvelous and makes for a perfect excuse to not Word. You know, as all fanfiction reading (or research) does.

Please tell me none of you are as weak as I - and that you are able to resist the call of 'Read Me!' to produce fictions of your own instead. Of course, I already know your Words will keep this neverending cycle of ficcing/pausing to read/agonizing over ficcing in perpetual motion...but why fight nature? Keeping making awesome things for the rest of us to procrastinate with!!

And tell us of your mighty deeds within this post. It will only be a small distraction. And there are cookies to reward yourself with. :D

After a lengthy pause (2 hours of snowblowing the driveway, and then spending time with Husband who came home from meeting in a bad mood - I swear, husbands are like cats sometimes, demanding pets and attention)... I'm back at it. I'm currently half-way through Page 16 (of 72) of my Massive Fic Re-Write from Hell, hoping to get a full page done this hour.

You are truly a staunch and stalwart ficcer, with much dedication and sacrifice to the cause. (I utterly agree with you about husbands. I firmly believe we should always have treats on hand and laps to command when they get puffy and twitchy. Oi.)

You are soldiering mightily there!! I must admit, I have finally slapped down 301 words - which only goes to prove my theory that to fic one must first READ. *Nods* Personally theory, but it always will out for me.

I'm also working on another to explain why I can never seem to fic during Rush until the last second. It's a WIP (like many of my fictions), but it will need another Rush to move to the actual 'hypothesis' category.

One family dinner, enough episodes of Peppa Pig to be considered a human rights violation, four dramatic re-enactments of my niece's friend's birthday party where we had to keep swapping who was playing who, half an hour exercise (it's a new thing I'm trying) and one shower later...

Oooh! Exercise! I'm impressed. I keep telling myself I'm going to climb back onto that wagon...

I literally have to climb on my wagon, it's an exercise bike and it's pretty tall :P

Feels good though, I covered 5 1/2 miles (roughly 10km, I think) and it felt like a pretty good but chilled workout if that makes sense (I was sweating towards the end but I wasn't ready to keel over like when I tried jogging haha)

Did another seventeen minutes of editing podfic, which brings me to forty minutes done. That's probably 2/3 of the way finished, so I'm taking a break and doing some cleaning.

I missed fic_rush, but I'm jumping in to solve the mystery/squee at you, because that was a fic I rec'd on my journal a few months ago and isn't it OMG terrifying awesome YES?! I dl'd it and have read it several times and must get around to writing a giant paragraph for the author because YES.
