Well, I am back from church (the first time) - now I have to eat brunch and take a shower before going to church the second time and babysitting adorable kids. Possibly with the aid of a very cute guy. *crosses fingers* And there is apparently a potluck afterward... I am so not going to get any more writing done today, am I?

At least I did manage to get some research done; not the fun sort, alas! I was reading Wikipedia about NCIS character backstories. Now I've just to decide what color socks Ducky is going to knit Jimmy Palmer for Christmas, then I'll be all set.

(If you're curious, and because I'm not at all sure this thing will ever turn into a story: McGee gets a Doctor Who Scarf. Abby gets lacy black fingerless gloves. Tony gets a knitted Magnum P.I. plushie and likes it much better than anyone would expect. Gibbs gets a thick squishy blue hat in a fancy ribbing pattern, just the right color to go with his eyes. Ziva gets a gorgeous lace stole in this heavenly yarn (http://sockenland.files.wordpress.com/2009/01/dsc06247.jpg). Jimmy Palmer gets socks in an undecided color, and Ducky makes a knitted bow tie for himself to throw off suspicion. There's a yarn colorway called "Mallard" that inspired this whole thing.)
