Speaking of cookies, all this research about 00s internet is hurting my brain. I think I had dial-up until 2008, which is probably where I'm getting thrown off because most people had DSL by then right? Like, does anyone who happens to have been older than 10 in 2001 remember how feasible it is for my characters to have had DSL at work?

(Also please tell me your fic struggles or any other progress reports! ^_^)

DSL is likely at workplaces. Most of them.

I had a friend who had DSL at home by 2003. I was sooo jealous. (I was on dial-up until 2007 so... yeah) :/

It's going to have to learn to settle for what word count I haz, because I've got other fish to fry, er, stories to write and I was trying to structure this one to hit around 10,000 to 12,000. It's at almost at 15,000 now. Greedy rainbow.
