Argh, ending aren't any good anyway. People will always have complaints about them. Ignore the ending!

That's true! I don't think I've managed to write a single story with an ending everyone was happy with :D (and that's fine! I like complaints, shows what readers see as important)

Even more than that - it shows readers care! :D

(Well, unless the complaint is 'well how dare you tag the characters in this fic Harry and Hermione when they're the most important characters in the fic but not a pairing even though you've explicitly written in the header that it's not Harry/Hermione?!' /still bitter)

Ooh, I've had a similar comment once, though other way around! I had an unusual pairing, which I tagged and mentioned in notes and then I got a comment where they complained that the pairing was a complete surprise and ruined the fic o.O (still boggled by the comment :D)

The only that ruined that fic was the reader, who has presumably gone elsewhere, thereby restoring the fic to its lovely not-the-least-bit-ruined status!

Srsly, why are so many fic readers apparently illiterate? Maybe I'm actually better off in my small fandoms.
