How did the target reach the dagger that was in his sock? Why do I suddenly have feelings and motivations for a guy who is just there to get knocked off off screen? Mahhhh... he's supposed to have a sentence but he's getting a paragraph.

LOL, I've been there. You use/create a character for a small one line/cameo role and suddenly they start taking over the screen.

It's a sgian dubh but he's Austrian, he's just a poser. He's run a little to fat, so it's mostly that the main character is young and stupid and epically underestimating him and not expecting a 'tie my shoelaces, come up armed.' Learning and growing through getting a bit stabbed with a Scottish knife by a Viennese accountant.

That's what I thought when you mentioned the dagger was in his sock. Who else but the Scots? And the pseudo-Scots posers, who are loegion, and who undoubtedly exist in Austria as well. A fine life lesson indeed.

I am a bit tired (hence not catching up on comments that should be answered yet), but I think I will go try and do some more on my episode guide for a TV show that doesn't exist. (I'm coming up with dialogue quotes for it. It involves me writing pages and pages offline and then typing up two lines from each page. This is definitely the iceberg school of writing...)

(And, yes, it was all my own fault: I went and resurrected the isurrendered meme.)

Thank you! I have selected my quotes I like from the pages of notes, and I think probably it is time to go, switch the computer off, write the old-fashioned way and add in the final quotes tomorrow!

And, heh, it is a wonderful meme, and the shows on the comm are fab. So many ones from last time. (Mammoth Season was fun. *nods*)
