I’m back at last – having slept (not enough), eaten (enough), and had a lovely visit with a friend of mine whom I haven’t seen in months. We had brunch and walked around Green Lake in the lovely spring sunshine – that’s a particularly lovely urban walk, about 3 miles, but flat. And yes, we're having lovely spring sunshine. Sorry about the rest of you.
I have gone back and looked at last night’s work, and cut out some deadwood, and been much pleased with the results. It’ll go out to my betas this afternoon, whilst I address the next scene. Or maybe take a nap.
Total for the weekend so far: only 350 words after the heavy pruning, but they’re a very important 350 words, since I couldn’t move forward without them.
ETA: And I used the word 'lovely' what, four times in one paragraph? *facepalm* Ack.
Everyone over here (there are people; it's why I keep being in and out) keeps talking about/taking naps, too. I think there's just something up with today.
350 words isn't bad, especially if it's after pruning, and especially if they're important to the fic.
edit: Let's see what thesaurus.com can do with your paragraph!

I wrote abot a 1100 words of original stuff last night, then I started feeling queasy again and went back to bed. But now I'm back and reeving to go. Whoo! My goals are to: 1. finish an essay that's due this week coming and 2. finish my ficathon commitments.
