Hope your worlds are safe from imminent destruction! Maybe if you write more, they will be :D

Date: 2013-12-14 05:06 pm (UTC)I'm up but only about fifty percent really here, the rest of me is off in space somewhere and I sincerely hope I won't be running into any werewolves.
so, still kind of sick and the house is at 55 degrees since we had to let the woodstove go out. It's a cautionary tale about how you should never let the universe know you're feeling confident about something, because the universe will then smack you down to teach you a lesson.
See, my husband was putting a log into the stove and he says, "You know, it's been a long time since we knocked off the burn plates.
(they're steel plates that hang on the inside of the stove, taking the worst of the heat so you don't eventually burn a hole in the side of your stove. They're a bitch to fix without taking the top of the stove apart.)
And I says, looking over my shoulder. "Ut-oh. Now that you've said that, you're gonna knock 'em off."
And wait for it... "I just did," says my husband.
So we've got to fix that this morning, (he's still in bed, cuddled up with the blankets) and I've got to do Christmas stuff. Hopefully, I'll do some writing too.
