Have to drive my daughter back to her school pretty soon... seeing if I can jot down an outline before I have to miss a couple hours. If nothing else, this is really helping me feel less isolated and bogged down with writing, it's nice to be reminded that there are other people who also are hounded by fictional characters who want them to write something.
Hmm. Sometimes what helps me is to do a stream-of-consciousness exercise where I'm just writing and not caring about what comes out as long as words are on a page. It doesn't advance the fic, but it does get words flowing again, which makes going back to the fic easier.
Also, sometimes your muse just needs a break. She'll be back!
Glad everyone's making progress. I wrote another ficlet. (I don't suppose anyone will know what I'm on about, but Kenny, Press Gang, and wrong numbers = much fun.)
Keep up the good work. I am off to bed, as we are about to lose an hour tonight!

Perzackly. Here I already have a sci-fi book to analyze and a help_haiti crossover to finish, and I'm suddenly attacked by a 1770s AU MFU plot bunny called "Hercules Mulligan, Spymaster"! (I'm not even kidding! St Crispins put it up for adoption a while back, but I didn't think I'd be doing anything with it because I know zilch about Russia under Catherine the Great - then I randomly think of combining it with this other AU idea I had and suddenly I've got a complete cast including a Cajun version of Napoleon Solo clamoring for my attention! And, of course, no plot. *eyeroll*)
(No, I am not going to work on it this fic_rush. I'm going back to work on my application essay. *glares at Hercules Mulligan and co.*)
I'm actually off to computer class now. Hopefully with a little spare time to work on my essay, and without any distractions from the aforementioned Hercules Mulligan!
(If y'all are curious... apparently he's a historical person, a spymaster for George Washington who was also a "plain simple tailor". No, I haven't seen DS9.)
This is a side-community for fic_rush, where we post our hourly posts during rounds. If you've wandered in here by accident, you'll want to go there instead.
If you're with fic_rush and have just shown up, look for most recent hourly post.

But, another porn ficlet should work to get into the swing of things again. THANKS!
