I missed hour 18. Sorry! My really quick trip to get one thing grew a little when another person, who wasn't even ready to go yet, got added to my party. I'm gonna just put hour 19 up a bit early instead of making a really late hour 18.

I'll go read what you guys had to say last hour now.

I haven't done too badly - about 1697 words since I posted. I think I'll go have food now. :-)

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

I don't like the sound of that application form. Meh. :-(

I managed one brief piece of dialogue, one small chunk of research and one conflicting-realities resolution... so, yeah... I guess it's progress, however small!

Well... rough draft realities - I'm trying to resolve it into ONE plot instead of something that's acting like parallel universes by branches of plot cancelling each other out. Does that even make sense? 0.o

Oh, yes, total sense.

When that happens to me, I usually wind up writing out the whole plot by hand - you know, in just basic "then he does this and then the other guy does that" format - and then asking myself all the questions I can think of, on paper. Like "So what are they mining here anyway?" (Okay, that was from a really odd crossover.) And sooner or later, it all irons itself out. Mostly. *g*

I'm going to stop and get a late lunch... I've got about 300 words on "Describe your reading habits" etc, and the next section is "Analyze a good book. Use two full pages."

I get to pick any book I want - they say "a book you consider to be excellent" - so I'm going with a little-known British science fantasy from the 1950s, The Other Side of the Moon by Meriol Trevor, who seems from her writing to have known CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien. It's similar in tone and content to Lewis's "space trilogy", except I personally think it's much better done.

I left the book in my room, which is being re-painted, but that shouldn't be a problem as I kind of have it memorized... what will be a problem is fitting what I want to say into two pages. Obviously, I'll have to narrow down the topic quite a bit - just write on one of the characters or motifs, or something. And I have to go to church in an hour, and I'm not out of my pajamas yet... anyway, see y'all later!
