Round 45, Hour 40

All right, one hour has gone by.  Looks like people are getting stuff done, cleaning house and making swap gifts and writing some fic.  I have...been stuck on Tumblr.  Going to open up Scrivener and see if I can poke at something.  How's it going for all of you?

Or at least is very shiny and hard to look away from! I got a bit of what I was working on done, and am deciding whether to write normal or eldritch instructions for turning the glowing light on in my altoid tin.

I can either write something like, "lift up the piece of cardboard and the switch the the e-l wire is under it," or I can write vague descriptions in ominous language about the cardboard and the switch, which would be a lot trickier, but would keep the whole swap package "in character."

I'm kind of stuck on how to be vaguely ominous about a plastic switch, but it'll be fun if I can figure it out.

I lost the internet last night but I seem to have found it again this morning. I slept in; I've got some kind of bronchitis and it sound like an off-key choir singing when I exhale.

But. I did more research for my story and finished that section. This morning I want to post to FFnet, and my LJ, and work on podfic editing for a while.

Also, I'll have to go get water from the spring, and I need to wash some windows, and do some walking on the treadmill. I'll have to slow down, but I really should do some exercising. I'm going to watch some SG1 episodes for research why I do it.

I met up with a friend online and played a few rounds of a video game that's been making my computer crash for several months. I'm not sure what's different, but my computer didn't crash at all! :D I AM VERY PLEASED.

Now I'm going to try to figure out what to write. :-)

(I already wrote about 480 words of Section 3 of the Not-Actually-Root-Vegetables story, on my Kindle last night. ^_^ So there's that.)

It's a Yuletide story, which is why I'm talking about it in Mysterious Code. ;-) It doesn't actually have anything at all to do with root vegetables. I'll put it in the Fic_Rush collection on AO3 after New Year's, when I'm allowed to say which Yuletide stories I wrote. :D
