I've dusted off my keyboard and am posting an old SG-1 fanfic to AO3. It's not like actually writing, but it recalls the fun. And rereading this story is a giggle for me.

Yes, don't cry on your fabric... it might be 'dry clean only'!

Come stitch together some words. They are easier to unravel if something goes wrong.

I'm currently acting as a gofer for my dad.... and considering I started this 20 minutes ago and am only finishing now I have a feeling very little will be written for a while :D

Because we're building a fence to keep my brother's dog from going under the house. Though my mum has taken over helping him for the time being so time to think about writing :D

That reminds me I need to transfer some of my old FF.net fic over to AO3. It's always interesting putting old fic in new places.

I've been distracting myself with YouTube vids. It's a toss - up on whether I should fic or whether I should icon.

The transfer would go a lot easier if I knew how to trick ff.net into letting me copy my own stores. *sigh* I turn my back for 3 or 4 years and they change EVERYTHING! *grumble*

Luckily, I have other fic hiding-places!

Tell me about it, they've even removed their ad - blocker from their site (yes, I'm still bitter about that).

I really should get around to putting my old fic on AO3 sooner rather than later.

Use Chrome or Firefox, with their adblockers installed and turned on. Or, if you're using an iPad, there's a cheap browser called Atomic Web, which also has an adblocker!

Ads are one of the worst vectors for malware -- I have no ethical qualms about running adblockers.

The fine freaks of ff.net have disabled Ao3's ability to do imports. I've taken to copying and pasting off the ff.net screen, and cleaning up the coding at the Ao3 end. Or using the Word doc version on my own computer. *grumbles at ff.net*

Yeah FF.net's blocking of importing is one of the reasons I've been procrastinating on transferring my older fic over to AO3.
