Woot, 500 more words down and I've finally got one of my characters out to the garage!

(To give you some context, the 'big idea' of the fic was to have my characters go on a white water rafting trip. 16,000 words of set-up later, they're finally on the road. This is what happens when you're writing a big bang and are afraid of meeting the word count threshold.)
