I've had espresso, and am now hoping a smoothie for breakfast will help me fight off the cold that's now threatening. I've mostly caught up on the internet. Now I need to go sew a bodice.
Actually, I need to go back to bed, but first I have to get some sewing done.
It's for my wedding dress. It's teal silk charmeuse, with a princess-cut bodice with a slightly curved V neck, a very full skirt, and flutter sleeves. I'm currently working on the front of the bodice, which (if it works) will have an interlaced overlay of ruched bias strips in the same fabric.
My partner's wedding dress is much closer to being finished. It's the same fabric, but hers has an empire waist, a scoop neck, bell sleeves with a ruched border element, and a single panel of ruched material in front edged with piping.
Yesterday, this kind of stuff was described as "the sewing equivalent of timey-wimeyness". *g*
