Round 41, Hour 17

How's it going? I have reports of food, hot caffeinated drinks, and "research" of the Big Finish audio-play variety. Do we have words? Anyone?

(I also have, outside the Internet, a weird phone message announcing that someone is giving us a free "home medical alert system" - the sort where an elderly or infirm person who lives alone can push a button for help in case of a bad fall - and we just need to PRESS 1 NOW!!! to arrange to have it "installed". At absolutely no cost to us! O_O I presume this is a scam or gimmick of some sort, because we're a household of four reasonably fit twenty-somethings. The oldest living being in the house, proportional to species longevity, is the cocker spaniel... who is indeed elderly and suffers from hip pain and doggie epilepsy, but neither needs nor would understand a medical alert button that didn't give her a treat.)

I've gotten that phone message a couple of times! They probably install it at no cost, but then lock you into a contract where you're paying for it every month for years and years.

I've eaten and washed the dishes. I may goof around for the rest of this hour. It's a cold, gloomy day, which I'm not finding conducive to writing. I'll try to get over that!

I went and rested, and while I rested, people came and left prompts! \o/

Now for a little bit more pimping... (Although I have totally spammed my own flist now and am quite fed up with seeing myself everywhere. :lol:)

ETA: I'm now envisioning a medic alert button for dogs. It doesn't alert anything, just gives them a doggie treat. So you have a happy dog. It's probably cheaper than the one they offered, and just about as useful.

I will be watching the fest with interest! And possibly leaving prompts. I find commentfic trees terribly hard to navigate, but I might even read fic there once there is some. ;-)
