fic_rush_48There were some wonderful awesome happenings in the last hour, procrastination and graphics and eating and sleeping and even *gasp* writing! Yay!
I've just set down with my silly-cracky fic of the moment and am hoping to get down some words this hour. I know we've had some folks head to bed, how are all the rest of us doing? Fingers hopping along keyboards as nimbly as writerly mice? Let us know!

Also, if you're writing slash or femslash, use names over pronouns where you can or you'll lose track of who is doing what.
For romantic smut, focus on the parts where sex is about love, talk a lot about eyes, lips, hands and all the feelings.
For kinky smut, well I'd need to know what the kink in question is but my rule of thumb is if it makes you blush as you write it, you're heading in the right direction.
And if you want to make them talk, have them talk about what they're doing. You can have one character tell the other what they plan to do or are doing. If there is a fantasy element to it, have them talk that up. And the old faithful ones such as 'do you like that/does it feel good/do you want more?'.
And if you start off slow and gentle, it will leave you room for them asking to go harder and faster.
