BTW, one of my first thoughts on seeing your millinery projects, in addition to "Ooo, cool", was "Ooo, portable!!" (hint hint)

I may very well be hauling bits and pieces around (say, on weekend getaways) to work on, because time keeps getting away from me!! And it is fairly portable except for a certain amount of caution regarding crushing feathers!

Curiously enough, I have many many useful items around here . . . scissors, thread, needles, pins, knives, duct tape, computer circuits, camels . . .

I am not doing anything with circuit boards this time around, although there was a mention of King Kong (probably not happening, but an amusing thought) and a great deal of discussion of EL wire, because glowy is how we roll. A camel and some duct tape would fit right in. And scissors, needles, pins, thread, and etc. would come in remarkably useful.

We'll see about the EL wire, I'm yet to be convinced that it can be wrangled in a sufficiently stylish fashion.

I had lunch, wrote 187 words and let my laptop cool down because it's already over heated once because of the heat and I'd rather not have that happen again :D

I know. It's too hot to have it in my lap so it's on my laptop desk but that only seems to help me and not the laptop :D

I added a piece of board and foam to the bottom and it works pretty well in the summer.

I use a small portable cooling station with my netbook, and I got my partner a really nice cooling station for her laptop. They are WONDERFUL things to have! (Bearing in mind that we live in South Florida, which is not quite as hot as Australia these days, but hot enough for most purposes.)

I have one, it's pretty cool, lights up blue and everything. The only problem is that I can't remember where I've put it. I'm going to have to go looking for it again though if I want to keep writing :D
