Well, I found an old 400-word vignette that's working just about perfectly as the opener for this fic, I hope. But now I have to go duct-tape a deteriorated windshield gasket...

(Don't ask me why I've never actually written a MacGyver fic that wasn't a crossover. Maybe because it's too close to reality?)

I'm beginning to feel like there is, actually, too much sex in this story outline. But most of it is inherent to the story and the development of the relationship, so I can't take it out.

I love Luna Lovegood. She's so difficult to write and get 'right,' though. If I ever believed in separate, outside-of-myself, character-based "muses," I'd say Luna was one. It's like everything she says really has to be "inspired" somehow.
