For me it's non - alcoholic sparkling juice. I can't say as to what others are having.

Number of pleats ironed last hour: 10, for a total of 27. I have also discovered that my kilt, when finished, will have 42 pleats in it! :D

Number of pleats projected for this hour: none. I decided to take a short break, straighten out my spine, and rest my right arm a bit; I accordingly switched off the flatiron, which keeps its switch RIGHT UNDER its handle apparently in order to dine on the knuckles of those daring enough to use it, and promptly bumped my knuckle on the (extremely hot) back of the iron. It's one of those all-metal-except-the-handle objects with a 1940s cord and no safety guard - very dangerous.

(I insisted on using it, though, because it weighs some number of pounds approximating "many", and when my mom set the creases in my dad's dress-trousers with it, they have stayed set [with some lighter reinforcing re-ironing] for TWENTY YEARS. :D I'm dubious my kilt will do that, because it's softer fabric and not perm-press, but I figured it was worth trying anyway.)

So I have my right hand in a bowl of ice-water, while with my left hand I am taking the opportunity to eat dinner. Carefully. :D

That is one impressive iron, even if it does insist on stealing some skin. That's one lucky kilt too, I would have probably gone insane and put it on my head by now :P
