Okay, no. :D

Sadly, I'm gonna put up this post and leave you to it this hour. I've had a heck of a work week and an illness I haven't been able to shake yet for these next two weeks and I'm about to face-plant on my keyboard over here. So, I must sleep and dream of romance for Stiles and Isaac that isn't horribly stilted and awkward now that I'm past chapter one.

So, write, read, research, plot, plan, and play. For it is fic-rush!

279 words for me in hours 5 and 6, plus research for the purposes of renaming a goat when I realized I'd made it the wrong sex. *g*

Why do you get all the fun research? *whines* I mean, goat-renaming and manure pits and yarrow tea and How Did He Die, Really? It's not FAIR.

*kicks moodily at her own research, which sucks big sucky rocks, being boring and NOT EVER FREAKING CONCLUSIVE, even after HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS OF PLAINTIVE GOOGLING*

Um, sorry. /venting. And, you know, goat-renaming envy.

I'm re-reading past posts in the current 'Rush (a popular form of procrastination). I might have a couple of resources for you:

If you're hitting a research wall during a 'Rush weekend, feel free to share the question. In addition to general support and insanity, we often provide word suggestions, research help, etc.

If it's not a 'Rush weekend (and even if it is): as long as you've made a good-faith effort to answer your question, when you're stumped, you can ask the question on the LJ comm little_details. That comm may not give you a conclusive answer, but you've got a good chance of getting some really good information from some very well-informed people.

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I remember hearing about little_details. but it's been a while since I've actually *remembered* them, so to speak.

I really just need to man up, though. It's mostly basic research of some basic medical stuff and some basic flora/fauna/weather/geography stuff -- it should all be findable decently on the web. I think the reluctance of my fic to actually let me write it is giving me research "issues". :-))
