Round 29, Hour 5

Yay, fic-rush, it's that time again! Time for what? Time for writing (and coffee, and chocolate, and giraffes, and music, and research, and sleeping and procrastinating).

So, my next question for the evening (apparently I'm very inquisitive tonight): What do you suddenly decide to do when you're supposed to settle down and write?

I usually wind up cleaning. Right now I'm doing dishes. But then, writing!

It's full of things that are more interesting than my blank page most of the time.

This long weekend I am also going to try to install Diablo 3, start some sewing projects, possibly cast on a sweater, and generally do so many things that are not in fact writing.

(But I'm not actually allowing myself to touch my primary text again until I know what happens in the next few years of the protagonist's life, and also get some research under my belt, and start the exploratory process for the secondary character who currently only exists as "protagonist's victim. Shiny. Can do a magic thing.")

Awesome. I've been playing Diablo 3 for the last 10 days (still working my way through Act 1, I'm a very slow player).

Yeah, sometimes it's really helpful to have the story working in your mind rather than in written form. I usually spend a lot of time thinking about something before I sit down to write.

+ sometimes I have to find the perfect song to help move the story along, which leads to spending half an hour browsing Spotify...

But now few rounds of WoD, I can't do anything else but write with that!
