How has this hour been for you?

I hear that words have been written, research has been conducted, snacks have been eaten, and I have chocolate - and the power of fic_rush has gone to my head! BWA HA HAHAHAHAHA!!

Yes. I found out where they hid the maniacal laughter.

Also, to abuse said powers for a moment, someone once asked me for fic_rush icons. Would that be allowable (Mod of Mods)... and what should they say on them? Would the in-jokes terrify the rest of the world? Should they merely feature enigmatic penguins?

(I have myself written 4 words today, on icons. Also posts and comments, but I was trying to make my previous paragraph a little more on topic.)

Besides snacking last hour, I decided what I will be working on next, read back over and cogitated upon the story thus far...and swept grass clippings off my front sidewalk. *g*

Hello hello!

I am currently grading papers and trying every five minutes to log onto the Diablo 3 servers.

Writing is being mused upon in my mind as I decide what exactly I should work on first. Also debating buying the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

I think Fic_rush icons sound like a great idea!

Having gotten nowhere with writing, I got a bunch of classic LOLs queued up on Tumblr, and felt a sudden and inexplicable impulse to cast David Collings as the Mysterious Helpful Stranger in a MacGyver fic. Can't figure out why.

I think fic_rush icons would be a Fine and Wonderful Thing!!! Did your requester want anything in particular?

And, yay! Probably (it was dbskyler who thought of it) but it was at least two fic_rushes ago now. Probably just a penguin icon that said FIC_RUSH. But clearly there is potential for other things. I'll see if I can rustle some up for next round.

I'm thinking of doing an intraround post on the main comm soliciting icons -- inviting input from icon-makers and from people with ideas who can't make the icons themselves. Several of us have a few, and it would be wonderful to have more!

Oh, that would be a good idea! I can just nab all the quote ones, :lol: Other people can do fiddly things with the inevitable penguins. And, yes, that would be lovely, and every icon maker has their own style, so, ooh, yes. :-)
