One more hour!

Unless you're in the UK, in which case we'll cut you in on the Extra Hour Special!  Because it's just not right for some of our members to have only 47 hours in a Rush weekend.

You're all eligible for the UK Hour Special if you meet any of the following c riteria:

- Think words like 'color' look better if they're spelled 'colour'

- Think UK accents are sexy

- Are now, or ever have been, a fan of a UK-produced show

- Read Georgette Heyer, Dorothy Sayers, or J. K. Rowling

If you meet none of these criteria, you'll have to present a plausible reason for your short-term honourary UKness.  Go to it.

I may actually be eligible for British citizenship since Mum is a citizen. But I think I'm going to pass on the extra hour, on the grounds that I'd only waste it anyway.

And also because I may have made fun of my American friends for being unable to make distinctions between UK accents and finding them all universally posh. So that may disqualify me right there.

Having grown up with Masterpiece Theatre, I learned early that the upper-class Romans spoke with upper-class British accents, and the lower-class Romans mostly spoke estuary English, so that ruined me from the start.

Lots of things have been done today. Groceries bought, taxes filed, cleaning completed, penguins brushed, meals prepared, TV caught up on, giraffes exercised, and plot threads spun for future use.

And now, I shall read.
