Hellloooo Rushers!  Any signs of activity in the Temporal Vortex?

I have successfully had lunch and written a post.  Now I need to go write some beta notes, although I'd really rather nap.

How about you?

Besides the fact that there seem to be two Hour 19 posts?

237 words and one Five Things now completed. \o/

Now I think I'll try writing the beginning to something that has an intriguing middle and no end in sight.

I fetched the mail and the laundry, and discovered that reading Dickens on my Kindle is really quite impossible. (I read at about 350 wpm normally; the tiny Kindle screen slows that way down, but Pickwick is such a maundering object that I really have to speed-read it in order not to get lost in the syntax. ;P)

I'm going to take a nap and then do some more thumping on this POV essay (the main point of which seems to be "every third-person writer on my bookshelf except Agatha Christie just wanders in and out of omniscient POV as it pleases them". o_O)

I am now ready to tackle Chapter 10. I think Chapter 9 could still use some work, but I want to start writing Chapter 10. I'm impatient that way. Sides, I can always fix it in post.

That's how I wrote my entire not!NaNo. It works fine until "later" comes. *g*

(Okay, honestly, the way my brain works it's the only way I can write anything longer than one scene. I am continually amazed by your, or anyone's, ability to write a story in order. *g*)

I did Actual Research, and a little writing, identified a plot hole, waved my hands a bit, and am with you on wanting a nap.

Aside from beta notes, do you get to do your own writing today?

YES YOU WILL!

We both will!!! Evenings are definitely good writing time. The rest of the household is supposed to be going to a dance event that starts at 10pm tonight so I'm hopeful. (But they'd both better go take naps or they'll fall asleep before it's time to go out ... in which case I guess I will still have the solitude that I need to write.)

Before dinner, I typed up 279 words. Rough draft of the long story I shouldn't have typed up yet is now finished, so tomorrow will probably involve some printing off and reading with a pencil to hand. It was v reminiscent of fic_rush, as there were time fragments all over the place. But no penguins.

I am now getting a bit headachy, so had better think of what best to do, but I may still have a stab at typing up a v short ficlet before the end of the night.

Oh, and supposed to pimp a comm about the place, but I think I'll do that in the morning.

Yes! And I got my flist to give me prompts for ficlets, to stop me writing long S&S fic and also because ideas are hard now. My flist are awesome with the prompts! AWESOME, I tell you. :-)

It helped. (Although obviously, I had to finish typing up the long story, too since it only had a page left. I have finally achieved my Feb fic_rush goal! In March. \o/)

(Er. Sorry. Overlong answer=lostspook still wondering what's best to do right now.)

And it was Sapphire and Steel, so I was probably obliged to finish it in the wrong month. It missed both deadlines of the challenges it was for!

Hello everyone - sorry I'm late to the 'Rush, but I'm leaping aboard now and hope to get something done. Probably finish the next chapter or so of my current Torchwood fic, but we will see what happens.
