So on the 17th of December I added words to my outline, and now I'm turning them into a scene. I feel so proud.

And all that on hour 17, too. Well, hour 16. Well, hour 61. Well...

I still need breakfast! *iz easily distracted by shiny objects* It's fic-writing fuel. And then I need to list what I'm going to work on today.

Well, my fried egg did glisten on top of my leftover pork chop from last night's supper. :-D

Two and half hand-written pages of completely irrelevant stuff, instead working on the story I was supposed to work on... But writing is writing, even when unruly!

And random irrelevant stuff, you never know - one turn of plot and suddenly it's relevant stuff instead, all ready to be added to the story!

Started tackling something that hasn't been working right. It's in free-writing mode right now. We'll see.

Eventually! It's worth the wait if I don't write a very bad story in the meantime. It's also a lesson to me in how badly things can go if I know what the plot is but have no idea who the characters are or what motivates them.

Well, I got as far as re-reading the original version of the scene I'm going to do in different POVs? ;P I also put the laundry in the dryer. (Which, given that the laundry is down a floor and at the other end of the hall, is a bit of a job, yes.)

Good afternoon, fic_rush! \o/ (That was me actually not feeling overtired on a fic_rush. At least, until the shenanigans with the lost hour begin tomorrow...)

There have been words - 280 this morning - and I fully intend for there to be some more words this evening and maybe even tomorrow, but we shall see. It is a long fic that was meant to be a short fic for a challenge - two challenges - for which it missed both deadlines and I typed it up very s-l-o-w-l-y to see how I went with long stories. I have decided to stick to typing up ficlets now. But that is as usual for the madness that is fic_rush and its world, yes? Oh, and I did research. (I looked on Wikipedia to find what photographic film is made of. Or was made of in 1976.)

In the meantime, I have rested and have been doing 'research' in the shape of listening to The Seekers' The Carnival Is Over (although for a story I cannot really write for a good while, but anyway. The 'some random 60s song' has become specific for when I do, and also allowed some nice flirting between Silver, Sapphire and Steel).

I see other people have words! Giraffes, even! Weasels... :-)

Oh, and I accidentally started up another comm and I have to pimp it to the world. That must also happen over the weekend.

I know! (On the downside, I keep wanting to relisten to the Carnival Is Over now. Whywhywhy me? And it makes me cry...)

400 words since last check in.

Also, I have acquired a case of the hiccups. Quick, somebody scare me!

I'm cured! But now I'm having a panic attack.

Actually, I'm really starting to have a Meniere's attack. Ut-oh. Hopefully it won't progress beyond the getting dizzy and lurching sideways stage.

If I get the spins, I'll be out of fic rush for hours, possibly till tomorrow. (think of being very, very drunk and the room spins around and around. What? I was a college student once upon a time)

Crossing my fingers that I can hang in here. It must be triggered by our recent change in the weather.

OH NOES!

I've had Benign Positional Vertigo a few times, so I have a mild idea of what that sort of attack must be like. Hope it doesn't get worse this time!

I've had that, too! ::fist bump of solidarity with ear problems::

I found that drinking a lot of water helped with the BVP. Did you do the positional stuff to move the crystals to a better place to hang out, rather than camping out right on top of poor abused nerves?

This attack hasn't gotten any worse, actually feels a bit better, but I'm sitting down, not moving around.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. These full blown attacks suck

No, I never did the positional stuff. I took Dramimine once when my main problem occurred whenever I rolled over in bed, other than that I just avoided whatever bothered me most and waited for it to pass!

I slept propped up on three pillows for a couple of weeks. It's weird, but I can tell the difference between the two different problems.

I can take meclazine(it's similar to Dramimine, if not the same stuff under a different name) but it leaves me feeling blah and icky, too.

I haven't had that much problem with the Meniere's for a while,(because of the long term damage to my ear, the little hair thingies are so damaged that they don't trigger the vertigo as much after about five years) but occasionally the barometric pressure changing will kick one off.

I hope you don't get the BVP back.
