Welcome to Round 23.5!  It's a long holiday weekend in the US, and if you're like me you're not in the mood to go fight crowds at the mall.  Instead, let's write!  This is a mini-round -- we'll be running from now until 8 pm GMT tomorrow, if all goes well.

I'm here, but I have so much to do that's more urgent than (creative) writing that I'm not sure when I'm going to get to it...

For the next hour I will be mostly learning about the global climate of the last 3 million years!

Presumably not in very much detail. So far I've discovered that the temperature used to cycle from warmer to colder every 41000 years, and now it's every 100000 years...

Hello! LJ has been dead since Thurs, so yay, first interesting post all day!! I wasn't sure when we were running from - I have not been paying proper attention. *cough*

Also, I have just written 494 words for a prompt that I was only looking at and thinking, well, nobody could ever write that as a ship in any way... Especially not me.

Hopefully before the night is out I can write out my other response to the same prompt. Which is much nicer, I think.

If I do, I will probably have to be v careful not to write tomorrow, but may do some festive/Yuletide icons, or something.

I hope the holiday weekend has been/is being nice, though?

It's been nice and lazy for me; we avoided the shops yesterday. Lots of napping instead.

Very sensible! Ah, yes, Black Friday, that's right? I saw that on Life, so I understand! (TV is useful for social studies, of course... :lol:)

I always hated the idea of the Black Friday shopping frenzy, and this year it's simply gone insane. Argh.

I stayed home and made LOLMacs, in fact, and swapped out a router. *g* Much more fun!
