Not only do we have glowsticks, but it has been discovered that glow sticks.  To everything.  We might be able to wash it off with handwavium.

I am yet to find my pen! But it's 5 am, so no one can blame me for a bit slow start. Or you can, but please don't because I haven't had coffee yet and my pen is missing.

I have more pens than coffee cups, so I'm bound to find one anytime now... Or maybe it is in the coffee cup, who knows with pens?
