fic_rush_48How goes the battle? Last hour we had a few people who were closing in on endings, which is most exciting! How are your weekend's word counts shaping so far? Are things that need to be revised getting revised? Will time travel advisories be listed for the earlier hours of the rush because so many of us stampede back there to get more done? Did we make the most of the extra time we've been borrowing from Round 12?

Can I count my panicky emails in my overall wordcount? At least something good will come out of all this mess :(

Sometimes I do this system, where I write for a while, until I get to a scene break, and then I do a chore. Or if I'm procrastinating on writing, suddenly I'll be inspired to clean the house. Anybody else do stuff like that?

Date: 2011-09-25 05:51 pm (UTC)You can do all the different colours and strikethrough and whatnot, so there's a way to track changes. And when someone edits the document, you see it in bold in the list, ie there were changes made.
As for using it when you have other means... I'm not a big fan. But that's possibly cos I'm working with Google docs all the time at work and they get on my nerves :D

Date: 2011-09-25 05:56 pm (UTC)Right! Because that's what I thought when I read the FAQ for it, but I don't know... I used the docs because possible beta asked for it, but either beta haven't betaed or I'm doing docs wrong. Eh. Darn.
*wishes she had a regular beta to lean on*
