If you use Firefox, get the Lazarus add-in. When (not if) your browser freezes or a site glitches, it will bring the lost text back from the dead. I kid you not. And the text is saved locally, so you're not at risk of data theft. It's up there with AdBlock on my list of Add-ons I Can't Live Without.

I think there's a Lazarus add-in for Chrome as well.

No, no, not at all! I have finally worked my way through your admirable notes and have made Mac take Benton's toy away. Now I think I know what needs to happen for the ending. My goal in life is to finish chapter 9 and get on with chapter 10 probably the last chapter I think oh please how long can it take me to write this damn thing?

But those notes were pretty critical to eliminating large patches of lame, even if I now have to make sure I revise the revisions and file off any pointy edges.

The truly embarassing thing is that, at the moment, my brain is still so foggy that I have no actual memory of any of it. Eeep. (I remember the fic, but not the notes. Blank.)

Well. To summarize, much more constructively worded versions of "show, don't tell", a few instances of "stop thinking and start punching", and a perfectly reasonable trout-smack or two of "Mac wouldn't be that lame."

But I still never found the perfect spot in the story for him to start calling Const. Fraser Benton. It's such a silly name.

I am considering posting a drabble that I wrote more than a year ago to prove that I'm still alive - given that I've basically written nothing since then :)

But what I should be doing is studying for an exam in two weeks time. So I will do that. Really.

I had a bacon roll for my lunch, and it was good :)
