I started writing a bit of a Monkees zombie apocalypse fic, although 1) the Monkees are INSANELY hard to write and 2) I think I stole the plot from a Max Fleischer Superman cartoon... but 322 words is not bad. IMO.

(I really need to rewatch the Monkees TV show. Sadly, it is not at any library I'm good at getting to. *grr*)

Good evening!

It has been an exciting round. My shifts are being covered by Skyler and Idlewild, because I'm recovering from being hospitalised for heavy blood loss. Don has also had a round in the hospital, and will not be able to make her shift tonight.

How long can you mod this evening? Will you be able to pick up part of Don's shift, which would have followed yours? I'm hoping you and Jenni can split it between you somehow.

In other news, we've had faster-than-light writing, juntas, counter-insurgency penguins, and mass brainwashing leading to naps. Also, word wars. I'm waiting to hear the results of the word wars.

I lost the word wars. But 322 words of Monkees fic isn't too bad, IMO, because they're practically impossible to write. ;P

I hope ya'll are okay. I've been away most of the day, working at the church pumpkin patch so I hadn't heard anything about you two being sick/injured.

I'd be glad to cover an extra two or three hours, four if I really need to, though that will probably be a post and run. Do you want me to contact Jenni?

Good idea. You may not hear back from her, since it's 1:30 am in her time zone; in which case, I suggest you do two extra hours and then do a post-and-run on the third. She usually checks in early enough that she'll almost certainly be able to pick up the fourth hour, and that will cover it all quite nicely!
