Round 21, Hour 20
Sep. 24th, 2011 09:58 pmSo, now that Doctor Who is over and dinner was had, words can be written again! Except for those of us who didn't watch Doctor Who or ate dinner. (psst! How was Doctor Who? Will I enjoy it?)
On a different note, this was supposed to be the end of my shift, but seeing as Beth's ill, I'm just going to keep on holding you lot hostage until I get bored. Or go to sleep. Or a Big Damn Hero comes to rescue you.

Date: 2011-09-24 07:02 pm (UTC)Eh, endings are overrated anyway. It's the journey, right? RIGHT?

Date: 2011-09-24 07:11 pm (UTC)Meh, I was so frustrated with that episode last year... (I won't turn this into a DW discussion post though. I'll... try not to, anyway).

Date: 2011-09-24 07:13 pm (UTC)I meant James Cordon, who was in The Lodger last year and is back in Closing Time. (And yes, The Lodger was frustrating, as was Closing Time - for me, anyway!)

Date: 2011-09-24 07:15 pm (UTC)Hmmm... I'm just in such a hype at actually having enjoyed two DW episodes (10 & 11), so I'm tempted to continue watching...

Date: 2011-09-24 07:18 pm (UTC)Well the ending's very good (setting up for the finale and tying in to 'The Impossible Astronaut), so I don't know...

Date: 2011-09-24 07:20 pm (UTC)Yeah, I had the impression that there was a Craig there! You were... almost right!

Date: 2011-09-24 07:28 pm (UTC)I was almost right - but not sure how I got from Owens to Ogden. Oh well, not important.

Date: 2011-09-24 07:10 pm (UTC)That nap brainwashing was very nearly an effective Junta tool.
Right now I am going to go and get a drink of water and a snack and dive back into the part in the story I've had a hard time fixing, where the crossed-over heroes took a freaking nap, which was a good idea but is really not Action. And Action Heroes don't Nap. Without blows to the head that rarely cause a genuine head injury.

Date: 2011-09-24 07:13 pm (UTC)Also, I'm so for putting forward the idea that Action Heroes nap. I'm now extremely tempted to have Harry go all "well, before we go saving the world, I'm going to take a nap" in my story, too. He deserves it...

Date: 2011-09-24 07:21 pm (UTC)(Damn. Now I really want to do this. I just need an excuse to why the End of the World can be put on hold while people sleep).

Date: 2011-09-24 07:12 pm (UTC)Here because of Beth's invite and just as a head's up, I tend to be a wallflower at parties. Sometimes I do, anyway.
I have lots of writing to do this weekend and will consider myself lucky if I get even one of the projects started. But I am here now to make a valiant effotr. Here's hoping I end up with something!

Date: 2011-09-24 07:14 pm (UTC)You might manage to write, though! You missed the bit where I brainwashed everyone into napping :D

Date: 2011-09-24 07:24 pm (UTC)Anyway, back in the saddle for the evening session - no plans for tonight, so hoping to get some proper wordage done.
