Round 20, Hour 26

Hello everybody! Welcome to hour 26 of Fic Rush! We're officially past the halfway point.
I'm running a little late, but I brought a ninja narwhal along to make up for it.

And what's a word war? Currently I'm writing my assignment until my glow stick goes out and then I'll get a new one and write fic until that one runs out and keep switching :D

Word Wars are timed writing sprints. Where everyone have 10-20 minutes to write as much as they can, and then compare word counts at the end of it.

It's good for keeping you inner editor under control!

Well, the drabble is up to 45 words. I'm using the "Jetpack" sprints idea from NaNo - 30 minutes writing and 10 minutes' break. This is like pulling teeth trying to balance the contradictory awesomes here. O_O

My wordcount is still non-existent, because it's been all revision. But I have a couple of key late plot points to help with the arc. Which is great, since apparently when I was writing the first draft of this original fic novella during a nanowrimo, I totally omitted any notion of show-not-tell for about the last five thousand words.

That always seems to be how it works. You get in the groove and then when you have to go back and revise you see things missing.

I think I'm going to pass on the Word Warring. I'm at a point of grinding out words and I think any sprint would end up 17 words or something. *g* But I'd be happy to cheer at the sidelines.
